How do you pull the sliders off a snowmobile?
Posted on Jul 30, 2009 under snowmobile |I already loosen the track and bolt off. Just can’t get it to slide off. I have a 98 Ski-Doo. Any suggestions will be helpful. Thanks
You need to pull the suspension out of the sled to take them off. Take the screw out of the front of the slides and then slide them off. If they are hard to come off, take a screwdriver and hammer and pound it off. Be careful not to damage the rails. Clean the rails good, cut down the new slides to size, you can use a little dish soap for lube to slide on the new ones if necessary. Slide on the new rails, put the screw back in and replace the suspension in the sled. A little trick is to use a ratchet strap to colapse the suspension to get it into place and bolted in.
