I’m sure security would ask you to remove your mask or they’d have their guns on the hand and calling for back-up.

They could consider that suspicious and summon the police. It you were in Wisconsin and it was the middle of winter then maybe they would let you get inside before they got antzy. However, if you kept your face covered the entire time then they could call the police believing that you were planning on robbing the bank.
Also, some banks will require verification of your ID even to make a deposit. You would be required to remove the stuff covering your face so they could verify your identity. If you did not then these banks would not allow you to make the deposit.

there’s a bank around here that asks you to remove your hat and no large hand bags
I walked into my local bank with an allergy mask on- bad coughing siege and I lifted it and identified myself and they said I could put it back on. No problem.

As long as you were cool about it and not acting aggressively, nothing.
I was working security at a library, and this guy walked in wearing a surgical mask, and latex gloves. He was calmly looking at books, and I was told to go take care of it.
"While he looks strange, he’s not breaking any rules."
"Go DO something."
"Alright."
I walk up to him.
"Excuse me sir, is everything alright?"
"Yes, thank you."
"There’s nothing wrong then?"
"Not a thing."
"Um, it’s just that, this is attire not normally worn in a library, and some people have expressed concern."
He laughed, and said "I had a bone-marrow transplant, and I have no immune system yet. So if I get sick I’ll die, and I just wanted to get a few books."
And that was it.
Then, there was another guy, when I was working a gasoline distribution plant, who was clearly in a full trucker’s uniform, who was fidgety and nervous.
I approached him, and he became more nervous.
I asked him, "Are you alright, sir?"
"Yeah, yeah, fine, fine."
"Is there anything I can do for you?"
"Nonononono, I’m good, good, good."
"Is there something going on here?"
"No, nothing."
"Well, it’s just that you seem very…animated."
He laughed, apologized, and said, "I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to freak you out. It’s just that, I really need a cigarette. But if I have one with all this gasoline, we’ll all die!"
You see - it’s attitude.
