I am going away to Finland over xmas and my travel company i booked through now only tells me after ive paid for ir that i need a driving licence to drive the snowmobiles. Has anyone been and did you get asked for your driving licence??
There’s no way they’ll hand over a snowmobile without a valid license. It’s Finnish law, and the companies are also responsible for fulfilling their insurance obligations. I’ve been snowmobiling in Sweden which has similar laws, and they definitely required a license to be shown.

I’m looking for a pair of winter boots that are very warm. I wear them while I ride snowmobiles so they have to be fairly wind resistant also. I would also like them to be waterproof and preferably under $100.
Cabelas has what your looking for.

i went to a dealer and bought my helmet for riding. my gf went with me so she could get one too. they had no more female street helmets all they had was the snowmobile helmets so we bought her that. the dealer told me that it was DOT and SNELL approved so it was fine for a motorcycle. its an hjc cl-15 snow http://blog.helmetcity.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/cyclone-2-large-300×293.jpg and upon further inspection of the manual it says its not safe for street use. im so confused. is a snowmobile helmet safe for the street or no? is it possible to change the face shield to make it street safe?
Does the helmet have a DOT and SNELL rating sticker on it? (It should, the HJC site says it is rated as such.) Should be perfectly safe for street riding. You might be avble to change the visor to a regular street visor. Ask on the HJC website.

My fiance is turning 25 next week, and I am looking for some idea on what to do. He isnt big on going out, so I plan on having a few drinks with him and some friends the weekend after his birthday.
Buttt I would like to plan something unique- I have dinner reservations at his favorite restaurant, but I need something different.
He is into pretty much anything with a motor (cars, snowmobiles, trucks, etc..) but I am stumped at the moment. Any real advice would be appreciated.
If there’s one in your area, he would love to use a flight simulator.
Or maybe a hairy real flight with one of those companies that offer them?
A ride around a race circuit in a racing car? Some places offer them.
Hope it works out.

10 points to best answer!!!
Okay. so a little about me.
I am a female and I am 17 years old. I am currently in grade 12 and I will be going to college/university next year.I want to go to a university in Canada but anything is good
I live in Ontario..
I want an easy program and a fun one. I LOVE doing crazy stuff, and I am kinda mischievous. I am street smart i guess u can say, and I like going an adventures. I was thinking recreation and leisure (outdoor). I have leadership skills and I love doing fun stuff like paintballing, atving, snowmobiling, hunting, etc.. anything that will give me an awesome adrenaline rush
So pleaseee help me out and list any programs that might suit me.
I am not into math, science or anything like that. I am kinda basic, but I can work hard if needed
Please give me the name of the university as well as any more information you have abut the program. I would prefer to go to college but w/e.
I was thinking about working in Alberta or BC in one of the national parks. Somewhere ppretty where there are ski hills etc.
If any of you reading this have taken the outdoor rec & leisure program at brock, lakehead or anywhere else, please let me know
Or if you have a fun job or an adventurous one, please let me know how I can get it.. like what courses and programs! I really have to apply soon for university
You might like a program that prepares you to be a phys ed teacher./

I have a ford festiva ice racing car, and i have a friend with a snowmobile trailer. he is the only person who can haul it for me, is it illegal to haul my car on a snowmobile trailer.
A two place snowmobile trailer isn’t designed to haul much weight. Today’s heaviest utility sleds weigh around 800 pounds with a full fuel tank. Older machines and sport sleds weigh less. A stock 1992 Festiva weighs about 1,800 pounds. I don’t know how much you have lightened your car for racing. Look on the trailer frame for a plate with the serial number and specs. It should have the load capacity. My guess is that your car is heavier that the trailer is rated for but not by much. Your friend has to decide if he wants to risk damaging the trailer by overloading it. Do you know any landscapers who haul a tractor? Those trailers will easily handle your race car.
